Organisation Transformation
As an Agile coach, we go beyond plans. I will lead your team’s Agile Transformation by building a dynamic strategy with a clear vision. My role is to coach, lead, and engage with you and your team at a human level, with direct feedback and actionable steps, so you can operate as a nimble team when you go back to your organisation.
Agile Management Training
Managers and team leaders become crucial as the organisation changes. Their attitude and mindset can make or break the transformation process. As we promote empowerment and self-organisation within the company, managers may find themselves in limbo. In my management training program, managers will embark on a journey that will let them understand and fulfill their role in the agile world to help reinvent the organisation and make the transformation a success.
Great Team Coaching
Getting agile transformation right can be challenging. People may be uncomfortable with a shift in their roles. Applying what I learned from the hundreds of organisations I helped transform, I will guide managers to introduce fresh perspectives and new ways of working with their teams. My goal is to equip them with the proper skills and habits to use agile to its full potential. You’d be surprised at how fast I can transform your company into a great organisation.
Agile Role Training
Armed with over ten years of experience, I design agile role training programs to help you get agile in your role. My training programs employ the best practices to bring you up to speed with how different agile roles work together within the organisation.
Team Agility Assessment workshop (half day)
Team Agility Assessment workshop is not a training session nor a thorough assessment, but a meticulous process to see the fit between your team and the coach to start their journey. Through my practical methods as an Agile coach, teams will understand their roles much easier and form a radar of Agile virtues where the teams think where they are, where the coach thinks where they are, and the improvements the teams want to tackle. For experienced teams, this workshop will help you get back on track.
Team Agility Reality Check (1-3 days)
Team Agility Reality Check is a 1-3 day process wherein you will have me, your Agile coach, assess your team to build an action plan that will correct your course. This includes:
- 1-2 day observation and review of your team
- Team Agility assessment with practical observations and actionable steps.
Unlike audits that tend to be one-sided, intrusive, and passive, this is more concise and purposeful. Early and candid observations are preferred to generate an open conversation, change perspectives, and improve its relevance with your team as soon as possible.
You can also present the outcome of this assessment to a coach (even someone who isn’t me!) to make your sessions efficient and hardworking.
AAA Inception
The best way to stay on track? Start on track. Quoting Esther Derby, a project’s success is determined 60% at team preparation, 30% at team onboarding, and 10% later. I second this from my experience as an Agile coach, and that’s why AAA Inception is the key to starting Agile projects, to address the 60% odds, first.
The Agile All Angles (AAA) Inception is a decade-long-refined and battle-tested (across several continents) process that includes a series of workshops where actors will explore every aspect of the product launch while staying at a high level, to answer one simple question: “Are we ready?”
This detects the most salient problems that can be solved during the project, and those that need to be sorted immediately. This is necessary to understand that you are in the right direction and build a top-tier radar of the obstacles you need to overcome. Most importantly, it aligns all actors on key topics that cultivate genuine team bonding, not just within the development team, but to all concerned actors including shareholders and partners.
Zero2Heroes Agile Team coaching
Zero2Heroes Agile Team Coaching is my sought-after coaching service. When teams have little Agile experience, or when they need to be high-functioning again, this is what I recommend. As your Agile Coach, I will turn your team into heroes by facilitating ad hoc training, inception, and team coaching— including the designated Scrum Master and Product Owner.
Note that the duration of these services varies.
A. A small team with a compact and/or focused product will approximately take only 10 Days, within 2-3 months.
B. A project with 8 squads within a complex organization will approximately take up to 60 days, within 6 months.
The main factors here are the following:
- The geographic location of the squads
- The number of the squads
- The number of shareholders
- The current existence of a system, or lack of a system
Team Step Up coaching
Team Step Up Coaching turns teams from good, to better, to best. As an Agile coach, I have to visit your team’s rituals and review their backlog before we start the training, and then I will proceed to:
1. Train the Product Manager to utilise User-Centric Thinking, User Story, Acceptance Criteria Writing, and Value-First Prioritisation
2. Stimulate the Scrum Master’s meeting facilitation techniques to adapt to the remote set-up
3. Condense all learnings and reflections for team members to recollect.
I recommend this for experienced and talented teams that need training, teams that feel they lost their way, or teams that need improved coordination so I can reconstruct your team’s perspective, sharpen their practice, create synergy, and return them to your organisation— Agile.
Product Thinking
Product Thinking inspects every design angle to discover what the user demands, it is the core of Agile approaches. As your team’s Agile Coach, my mission Is to embed product ownership by:
1. Recreating your product’s story with value-oriented prioritisation
2. Redoing your demonstration to make it more relatable to your customer
3. Examining shareholder feedback and conversations
A good Product Thinking session manifests what your team needs to be Agile and cultivates a strong bond between shareholders, product owners, and teams.
